As I was walking though the parking lot today, I noticed myself being annoyed at all of the “weeds” in the grass. I feel like I’ve lost part of my childhood… but maybe remembering is enough to hold onto a little bit of yesteryear.

I spent an entire stoplight yesterday staring at a vacent lot filled with seeded dandelions. I was transported back to my childhood and hours spent blowing and huffing. And I wondered why the neighborhood dads hadn’t hunted all us kids down and killed us for weeding up their yards.

Oh yeah. I remember rubbing the flower on the chin to test the subjects preference for ‘butter’ :-) Also, dissecting the stems and putting them in water to watch them curl up into themselves. Fond memories, indeed!
