First Day

The first day of my new job went really well. I think I figured out a major stumbling block that has been keeping people from doing a particular set of projects for months. Feels kind of cool.

I just realized, however, that I have to be up at O’Dark Thirty to take care of my chiropractic appointment and dropping off my car to get my brakes done and have my yearly inspection. I’m waaaay overdue for bed.

See y’all tomorrow!

Blue Pictoee Morning Glory

The Weekend

Yesterday was a bust for blogging, as I haven’t set my blog up for posting by phone. I need to get on that. I was in NYC all day for my dress fitting, so I was kind of busy. Thanks to an EARLY train from DC, I was able to enjoy a few minutes with a book and a lovely French breakfast of cafe au lait and pain au chocolate before my fitting appointment.

Le Pain Quotidien is an international chain. Normally I dislike chains, but this one seems like they have the right idea. Organic ingredients, and a completely unfussy atmosphere, friendly staff, and good food. It’s hard not to like such a thing.

French Breakfast

After and I managed to fit in lunch at John’s Pizza on Bleeker Street, with my good friend Chuck, and a few hours with my friend and Matron of Honor, and her family. All in all, a good day.

I’d like to mention that the shoes I picked up on Thursday at DSW on a whim, turned out to be a perfect pair for the dress. As my mom would say, it was a magic day. :)
