Seltzer

Those of you who have grown up on the East Coast will probably be familiar with seltzer water as a common drink mixer/bar staple. For those of you wondering what the difference between seltzer and club soda is: seltzer is carbonated water, and club soda is carbonated water that can have any number of additives, including sodium.

All of my life, seltzer water has been a staple in our house, not so much as an ingredient in alcoholic drinks, but as a drink on its own or mixed with juice. It’s my preferred form of water. Since I can’t drink sodas like Coke or Pepsi any longer, seltzer sates my need for carbonated drinks.

I’m sure that I should cut down on the carbonation since it probably isn’t really very good for my bones. I’ve heard that it can break down calcium in the body. But a girl’s gotta have some vices, right?

He he! Jeff and I have “bubbly water” for dinner every night. Right now, black cherry and rasberry lime are our favorite.
