Spring in the Big Apple

A gorgeous day today in New York City.  I spend most of the day, walking around, not being terribly productive at anything, except enjoying some of the gorgeous spring that we’re having here.  I say “we’re” like I still live here… I guess you can take the girl out of NYC, but you can’t take the NYC out of the girl.

Lots of gorgeous flowers blooming.  For those who think New York City is just a giant concrete slab, feast your eyes on this:

These are the biggest Hydrangea I’ve ever seen.  They are half the size of the tire next to them – huge, I tell you!

I will leave you with a picture of my last stop of the day, Pasticceria Bruno on Bleeker Street in the Village.  Yum!

Millefoglia

(Just in case you’re wondering, I did take off the icing (came off scarily easily) before eating.  I didn’t want to possibly poison myself with cornstarch.  I had to leave it for the photo, though.  Too pretty to leave out.)
