Blooms

My yard, even in it’s current state of disrepair, is a constant source of peace for me. I enjoy watching things bloom, seeing that they are a source of food for birds and insects, a source of refuge for small animals and reptiles (geckos).
Blooms mean life, and they are the harbringers of wonderful things to come.
Ooooooooooh! I was just bemoaning the lack of wildflowers in my front yard, although my compost pile out back seems to have oodles of gnats which make for plump hummingbirds.
