Reminiscing about the 3-Day

I have all of these ideas for these great long posts about the Walk, and I am going to completely cop out by telling you that Nancy did a better job than I ever could to recap our walk. Truly though, Nancy’s posts are way better than I could do. Her posts are brilliant. So instead, I’m going to provide some snapshot moments of our walk.

These are finally getting better:

Moleskin anyone?

woooo… don’t get to close. They probably still stink. ;) Sweating for twenty miles… mmmm, not so nice. And by the way, blisters from ice skating when you were a kid have nothing on these puppies. They started out a a tiny spot on my left foot. By Saturday AM, there was full-fledged nastiness on both feet. I was informed by my trusty medical advisor, upon returning home, that the blisters were all the way up inbetween my toes! I didn’t know that could happen. Aren’t you glad I described that? :D

Truly though, the blisters are nothing. As one sign posted along our walk said: “Blisters or chemotherapy? I’ll take the blisters anytime.” That’s a quote from a breast cancer survivor. And you know what? I agree. I hope I never have to deal with chemotherapy – the Universe willing. I’ll take the blisters anyday.

That’s all for tonight. I MUST sleep (I’m still recovering.) I will leave you with a teaser for next time: Mary Lynn and the Breast Vest. Stay tuned.
