Food For Thought

If we did as much fundraising and donating for an entire year, as we have over the last eight days, I bet we could wipe out poverty in America.

In five days, US bloggers raised Over $1,000,000 for over 250 charities. Think about it.

Blogging for Relief Day

Today is Blogging for Relief Day. I have donated to America’s Second Harvest. Join me and at least 700 other bloggers in encouraging other people to do something. Post your charity of choice over at The Truth Laid Bear. Even if you don’t have a blog, your contribution in whatever form is needed.

I hate feeling so small and helpless, and I am tired of crying in my car, listening to NPR and doing nothing. If I could figure out a way to go somewhere and help, I would. I wish I could take one of the trucks from work and drive down to Louisiana and pick some people up and carry them to safety. I don’t think I’d have a job when I got back, but it’s tempting.
