Crazy Night!
I love storms. I love how the wind sounds around the house, and I love watching the trees dance. I love the smell of a storm, even if it doesn’t actually rain. The smell of moisture in the desert is truly a sweet one.
I didn’t realize how much of an effect the storm had on vegetation last night. I saw two trees that had been pulled up by their roots on my way to work this morning. Part of that was probably because Mesquite trees do not do well in lawn situations and the lawn watering doesn’t allow for deep root structure. One of these trees was very large (at least two stories high) and could have really hurt someone. But it didn’t, apparently.
And still, for the destruction that the wind caused, I still love storms. Give me some lightening and rain, and I am a VERY happy camper!

Me too! I wish it would have acutally rained at my house, though!
