Update on Purple Plush
I got about 95% of the bear finished on Thursday night:

It looks weirdly like a person without the ears.
I wish that the pattern was written better. It doesn’t read row by row, it just tells you how many rows to do and then expects you to guess what row you should be on. I’m worried that the back side isn’t going to match. *sigh*
I love the way the yarn feels, but it is frustrating not being sure what row you are on, and not being able to tell if you are on the right or wrong side.
Oh well. I’m sure it will be cute when it’s done.

You’re right, you’ve made one of those paper cutout people. Now you just need to make 15 dozen more and hang them around your room.
Whenever I am making something with 2 identicial pieces, socks, mittens, etc, I make them at the same time. A few rows on one, a few on the other. Since I never follow a pattern exactly, this lets me make the same mistakes/changes on both without having to think too much. Of course, this is easier with crochet since you can use the same hook for both. With knitting, I guess you’d have to invest in two sets of needles.
